Young Maroon and Family-Friendly Events
A special schedule of Young Maroon events is planned for alumni with children. Many are free.
Make sure to bring the whole family as Alumni Weekend is a terrific family experience featuring kid-focused, parent-friendly events. While many events are family friendly, below are some special opportunities for children:
Friday, June 6
Young Maroon Party
5:30–11:00 p.m.
Club Quarters
While parents are at evening celebrations, children ages 5–12 will have their own party with dinner and supervised activities including movies, games, and crafts. Children under five may attend if accompanied by their own sitter (fee applies only to sitter). Be sure to register in advance; the cost is $10.
Saturday, June 7
Alumni Banner Procession
10:00–10:30 a.m.
Step-off in Bartlett Quadrangle
The University bagpipe band leads the annual alumni parade across the Quads to Rockefeller Memorial Chapel. Children will have their own Young Maroon banner.
Young Maroon Assembly

Ida Noyes Hall
While parents attend Alumni Convocation, children of all ages are invited for crafts and games. Although this event is free, be sure to register so that we can include your child in the count.
University Picnic

Ratner Athletics Center
Join alumni from across the University at this festive family affair. Student performers will entertain while face-painters and balloon artists engage children. Be sure to register in advance; the cost is $5 for children 12 and younger.
